Cask @ Crown & Kettle, Manchester. Deeper amber with a glow. It's strong and sweet and is a classic English ale with a berry-fruitiness.

10.6% bottled. Not sure I've ever had a beer like it! Boozy, sweet, dry but all so well-balanced and the depth of flavour is amazing!

Cask at the brewery. Pours mid brown, loose beige head. Not much on the nose. Taste: dry, light bitter, malty, caramel. Medium body, light carb, dry finish. An ancient recipe apparently. More dry and less sweet (but lower ABV) than most other old ales I've tried. Interesting but ultimately not great

Cask @ The Grove, Huddersfield. Hazy golden with a watery texture. It has a stewed fruitiness about it, which is most stated in its nose.
