Cask at the bow bar. Pours golden, melon, grassy, toffee, taste is sweet, juicy, melon, dry toffee.

On cask from the wood at Woodfest 2017, Castleford - Hazy amber body, solid film of oily foam on top. Nose is barley sugar, pine and molasses. Taste and palate was very sugary, almost barley wine, wood cask really pulling it all together. Very, very dangerous.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Hazy golden/amber body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of metal and a tangy, lemony finish. Flavour of underripe pear and straw. Thin body with a watery texture. Weak fizz. Sharp and lacks the sweetness needed to balance things.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Hazy golden body with a medium white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of nuts and toffee. Flavour of pear, earth and a bitter, grassy finish. Thin body with a watery texture. Weak fizz. It’s ok but the finish is a bit harsh.

Cask at the brewery. A mostly clear golden coloured pour with a frothy white head. Aroma is decent apricot jam, biscuit malts little grassy,. Flavour is of Base malts, little rustic, jammy fruit, apricot, bark, sweaty hop. Palate is light, lowish carbonation, full. Ok gold. Low cask condition.

Flavour is composed of semi sweet Base malts, woody mango, grassy citrus, bark,. Palate is grainy, semi sweet moderate carbonation. Decent.

Cask at the brewery. An opaque mahogany brown coloured pour with a lasting creamy beige head. Aroma is tangy fruit, choc, raspberry ripple, hint of vinegar, chocolate malts. Flavour is composed of tart fruit, raspberry, spicy vinegar, hint of infection, powdered chocolate.. Palate is tart, lowish carbonation, lifeless. Meh. Really not a fan.
