Cask from the wood, half pint, at the SPBW 1st National Woodfest, Castleford. Golden colour, white head. Strange aroma, wood and dust. The flavour is better, hints of peaches and caramel. Moderate hops.

Cask from the wood, half pint (actually nearly a pint), at the SPBW 1st National Woodfest, Castleford. Black colour, small tan head. Nice aroma of blueberries, vanilla and moderately roast malts. The flavour is more like a strong dark mild, with generous amounts of blueberries and vanilla. Very good beer.

On cask at National Woodfest Castleford - Near opaque black body thin blue to white head. Nose is dark fruits a bit of chocolate and coffee with a cereal oaty backdrop. Taste has a hint of wood but the smokyness of the roasted oats gives a bitter front. Long bitter end. Nice one.
