On tap at Toms Tap, Crewe. Pours almost black with minimal tan head and good lacing. There’s a strong aroma featuring roasted malts and ginger plus just a hint of chocolate. In the mouth it is sweet and juicy with a creamy texture. Flavour has honeycomb, roasted malts, ginger and hints of vanilla and chocolate. Some bitterness in the slightly fruity finish. This is nice ! Strongly flavoured without obscuring the stout characteristic.

On tap at Toms Tap. Pours a solid mahogany with minimal off-white head and good lacing. There’s a strong aroma of toffee, smoke, oak timber and alcohol. In the mouth, swirling it around the tongue gives different combinations of sweetness, bitter and sharp. Constant though are flavours of honey, alcohol, raisins, roasted malts, oak barrels and balsam. Some hints of autumn fruits too. Finish is quite fruity with some herbal traces. This is simply excellent !
