Cake day! 🍰 ❤️ beer is sweet roasted malty with lots of rich chocolate, cocoa nibs, some caramel and toffee malty sweetness, full bodied, some bourbon kicking into the dark sweet warming malty finish. Good stuff.

Final beer of 2024! 50 cl bottle with orange wax on top poured into a Snifter. Near black with a mahogany tinge and a thin, tanned head. Sweet aroma with ground coffee, brown sugar, vanilla, bourbon barrel, cookies, and herbal hoppy notes. The taste is sweet. Full body with an oily texture. Sweet finish with lingering bourbon barrel and coffee. Scores a solid 4.0. Could be a 4.1 or 4.2 if less sugary.

440ml can 2 weeks past BBE. Hazy orange, moderate sized white head. Aroma of sweet malts, wheat, fruity hops, citrus. Taste is citrus, grapefruit, aromatic peachy notes, sweet malts, grass. Tangy bitter finish. Medium body and zingy carbonation. Very good, there is quite a bit going on here.

Can from lowcostbeer.com, 6 weeks past BBE. A surprisingly dark hazy amber-brown, small white head, leaves good top and lacing. Aroma is slightly muted, grain, caramel, spice, stone fruits. Taste follows aroma with it being malty and spicy, citrus peel, apricot. Nice and moreish. Nice medium to full body, smooth, soft carbonation. Lacks a bit of magic to be a top DIPA but it turned out to be quite tasty.

Blck, slightly oily with small beige head. Roasted aroma, dark malt, alc and barrel aroma. Sweet flavour, rich dark malt, alc warmth, slightly woody bitterness, sweet booze.

Flavour is pineapple, some floral, wooden and mild nectary and floral tones with some caramel sweetness in the finish. Rather sweet malty NEIPA, but nice.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Hazy golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is floral, fruity, nectary and some mild toffee tones with a bit wooden elements. Flavour is nectar, some floral, fruity and mild peachy and pineapple tones to it. Big grassy bitter aftertaste. Quite thin.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Yellowish golden hazy colour with a mediumsized white foamy head. Aroma is yuzu, rosehip some mild salty tones with a bit vanilla to it as well. Flavour is yuzu, rosehip, some salty and mild tart wooden tones with a bit of vanilla sweetness in the finish too. Nicely dry palate.
