Description
Odd Side Ales is a family of gifted individuals, focused on the shared goal of crafting unique products, while maintaining the utmost quality.

Our story began in 2010, as a micro-brewery producing craft beer from our pub located inside the historic piano factory in Grand Haven, Michigan. We quickly outgrew the pub’s brewing capacity and now, after three different expansions, brew from our own 44,000 sq. ft. facility.

Our main focus is to creatively stay on the leading edge of craft beer styling. While maintaining a large core of year round and seasonal favorites, we strive to introduce new recipes that push the boundaries of flavor combinations and craft beer categories. Everyone at Odd Side Ales is here because they have a true love of craft beer, the industry as a whole, and the people who drink and enjoy what we are able to do each day!

Beyond Michigan, we now distribute to Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky. We hope to continue our growth, expanding our reach even further, and share our craft as far as possible!

16 oz. can from Total Wine. 11 month old can. Pours a slightly hazy light yellow color with a huge white head and great retention. Good lacing. Standard pale lager aroma. Light rice lager flavor. Simple profile. Clean and smooth. Nothing special. A good thirst-quenching beer. Light body and high carbonation. Low bitterness. I bet a fresher can would be better.

12 oz can from Total Wine - Naples, Florida. Pours a cloudy pale yellow color with a gigantic off-white head and annoyingly great retention. Great lacing. Mostly wheat ale aroma with very subtle melon notes. The watermelon notes taste a bit off, like it's not fresh. Canned 2/21/24. I think that's the problem. Muted, old beer flavor overall. Medium-light body. Low carbonation. Low bitterness. Not too good.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a clear dull gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has an interesting combination of coffee, Irish cream and mint with a touch of grain underlying. Flavor starts with grain, Irish cream and minty but the finish is mainly coffee.
