Odd Side Ales
Microbrewery
in Grand Haven,
Michigan,
United States 🇺🇸
Associated Venue: Odd Side Ales
Established in 2010
Our story began in 2010, as a micro-brewery producing craft beer from our pub located inside the historic piano factory in Grand Haven, Michigan. We quickly outgrew the pub’s brewing capacity and now, after three different expansions, brew from our own 44,000 sq. ft. facility.
Our main focus is to creatively stay on the leading edge of craft beer styling. While maintaining a large core of year round and seasonal favorites, we strive to introduce new recipes that push the boundaries of flavor combinations and craft beer categories. Everyone at Odd Side Ales is here because they have a true love of craft beer, the industry as a whole, and the people who drink and enjoy what we are able to do each day!
Beyond Michigan, we now distribute to Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky. We hope to continue our growth, expanding our reach even further, and share our craft as far as possible!

Bottle shared with others. Pours a dark brown with a grayish brown head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of earthy roast and light smoke with a bit rye and dark grains supporting. Flavor has earthy dark grains and rye with a bit of smoke and some coffee coming through.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a murky chestnut brown with almost no head. Aromas of spice, rum, cinnamon and vanilla on the nose. As it warms, more of the same on the palate with bourbon, rum and winter spices. Vanilla and bourbon with rum on the finish. Not overly boozy. Solid release from Odd Side!

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a deep chestnut with a small beige head that dissipates. Lovely toasted malt nose with dark caramel and toffee aromas. Balanced on the palate and leans dry on the finish.

Bottle from Livonia Liquor. Pours a deep brown to black with a small bit of beige head that lingers. Aromas of burned plastic, bandaid and light smoke. All plastic and bandaid on the palate with a touch of bubblegum and smoke. This is one of the worst beers I've had in years. Awful stuff.
