Description
Up Front Brewing was founded in 2015 with the aim of sharing our love of exceptional beers and great artwork, with a wider audience.

Here at Up Front we have no loans, no investors, and no kickstarter funding - everything is paid for up front. We brew by renting space in other people’s breweries, with each batch paid for as it’s brewed.

We have very little in the way of overheads, which allows us to spend a considerable amount of time and effort into researching and experimenting with new yeast, bacteria, ingredients, and brewing techniques from around the world. We brew mostly out of 71 Brewing in Dundee, but also use other breweries as and when required.

Up Front has used both Drygate and Alechemy as a base.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - golden yellow with a light haze. White head, or slightly off white. Nose - orange, funk and salt. Taste - salty, funky and herby. Orange again. Oh, it's definitely lime on the finish. Palate - tangy and close to medium bodied. Long, dry, tangy finish. Overall - good stuff.

Keg @ Tap and Can. Misty golden yellow, good white froth. Crisp fruity sour profile, a little sharp for a gose, passionfruit and lime are both presented well, moderately sweet, lightly salty. Juicy number overall. Good.

Keg at BD Sheps Boost, 21/10/19. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a decent tan head. Nose is big on coconut, light spice, charr, cinnamon buns, cocoa sprinkle. Taste comprises chocolate, mellow roast, berry fruits, cinnamon, light black peppery spice, toffee. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced boost. Decent stuff. Someone has a local BD bar who maybe doesn’t clean their pipes well me thinks !
