Shared bottle at RB/HD at Bjørnøy 23.05.17. Very dark brown to ebony. Aroma of black malt. Taste of black malt and coffee and a hint of dark chocolate and herbs. Not great. Meh!

Fra flaske på RBHD på Bjørnøy mai-17: brunsvart med kort, storboblet skum. Sjokolade, kaffe, skogbunn, kantarell og østers i aromaen. Smaken er rund og myk, fyldig og interessant uten å være direkte innsmigrende. Myk bitterhet i avslutningen.

500 ml bottle, from a trade with Cunningham. ABV is 4.7%. Pale golden colour, small white head. Aroma of yeast, with some sweetish floral notes. Soft mouthfeel. Tolerably refreshing flavour, mid between dry and sweet, some yeasty notes, with a decent hop bitterness in the drier finish.

Flaske 50 cl fått av DjOeye. Aroma karamell, røsted malt. Utseende klar mørk brun med rødskjær og beige skum, mye skum som holder seg godt. Smak karamell, vanilje, røsted malt, humle, noe plomme i avslutningen. En fyldig og godt balansert øl med mye smak, lett søtlig. Godt øl ---

Medium beige head. Opaque black body. Mealy toasted rice aroma with cold coffee notes. Sweetish earthy mealy coffee taste with toasted rice notes. Full-bodied. Mild, soft, mealy mouthfeel with low carbonation. Sweetish earthy peppery toasty aftertaste with coffee and soot notes. Very nice, highly harmonic, well balanced, and extremely controlled. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish mineraly, weeds, minerals, roasted grain, toast, burnt coffee, ashes, bitter chocolate, grass, puffed rice, cocoa. Medium bitterness, slightly sour-ish roasted mouthfeel. Fair enough.
