Description
Mantle Brewery started brewing on its 10 Barrel brew plant in August 2013. The first ever cask out of the cold room, a cask of Cwrw Teifi went straight to the Eagle Inn in Cardigan on September 1st 2013, our nearest pub. T’was a day to remember.
The brewery was founded by Ian & Domi Kimber, and together with Owen, Adam, Aled & Ian B, we brew great beer. The same care and attention goes into each and every brew, each and every step in the process, each and every cask, keg and bottle.

Cask @ The Cliff Hotel & Spa, Cardigan. A well earned two day break I must say, and nice to see something other than Doom Bar on handpull (there was Doom Bar as well). Nutty, malty, smooth bitter. Pleasant.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 5/5/2015. Golden with a decent, white, head. A malty golden ale, with a touch of sulphur, stone fruits and moderately bitter finish. Ok.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 15/2/015. Dark brown in colour, with a frothy, off-white, head. Dark fruits, some caramel sweetness, plain chocolate and a rich, warming finish. Very good.

Cask , The Magazine, New Brighton. Golden looks with a small white head. Insipid nose with some vague maltiness. A little sweetness in the flavour with some lacklustre hoppage and malts. Dry bitter finish. Drinkable but very dull. Now where the crew at ? !

Hand-pulled half-pint in The Somers Club, Halesowen on 3rd June 2014. Golden pour with a white foam topping. It was bitter yet seemed to have a malty base, strange and difficult to pigeonhole the flavours or aromas. I almost enjoyed it.
