Description
Tomos & Lilford was begun in 2013, by Rolant Tomos and brothers, Rob and Jim Lilford. We started up in a shipping container held together with crocodile clips and a lot of love. Today the love remains, but we’re an eight-barrel outfit supplying retailers of all shapes and sizes, restaurants, bars and festivals throughout the UK. We brew the signature beers for some of Wales’s most loved places and people including Wrights Food Emporium, the Scarlets rugby team and St Fagan’s, the National Museum of History.

A 500ml bottle brought on my trip to South Wales. A beautiful stout with hints of coffee, chocolate, roasted nuts & seaweed. Nicely hopped, mildly bitter finish

Bottle from Wales Ales. Pours a murky chestnut brown with nice off-white to beige top, great lacing. Aroma of malt, chocolate, dried tropical fruits and donuts. Taste is quite moreish possibly helped by the donuts although its still very recognisable as a brown ale. Nice fruitiness and a touch of dusty spice in the finish. Quite sweet but not sickly. Mid bodied and high fine carbonation gives it a somewhat frothy mouthfeel but I liked it.
