About
Dorset Nectar artisan cider is naturally fermented from 11 varieties of West Country cider apples grown on our family run farm. The sun ripened apples are whole crushed and pressed at the orchard’s cider barn, then patiently nurtured to create a smooth, delicious cider that is really fruity in taste and bursting with flavour. We hand crafted both of our hydraulic presses, the largest using two 58 tonne rams. We press using a traditional rack and cloth method and are renovating an old twin screw 1863 press from Chard.

Bladder bag box at the GBBF Winter 2023 Festival, day 2 at Burton On Trent Town Hall, 17/02/23. Golden with a small amount of white spotting. Nose is bitter sweet apple, tannins, light sugars. Taste comprises orchard wood, apple skins, faint acidic tingle, hay bale. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light drying close. Decent.

Cider in a box at Stable. The cider is almost the color of the label, clear golden amber and still. Earthy apple aroma with citrus. Taste is earthy apple skins and light peppery barnyard. Very tasty

5/10/2022. BIAB taster courtesy of danlo, cheers Ed. Pours slightly hazy pale copper amber with a frothy off-white head. Aroma is sweet, plummy, toffee, apple, jammy, leather, light funk. Medium sweetness with a tart edge. Moderate body, oily, average carbonation. Drying finish. Quite enjoyable.

BIAB at York Beer & Cider Festival 2022. Deep orangey amber colour, afew bubbles on top and aroma of fruity, plum, apple, funk. Taste is sweet, fruity plummet, apply, funk, mellow. Medium bodied, low carbonation, medium sweet finish. Nicely drinkable

BIAB at Peterborough Beer Festival 2022. Pours clear amber brown with a few loose bubbles of white cap. Aroma: crisp apple, apple skins, funk, wet dog. Taste: medium sweet apple, wet wood, light tangy, some tannins. Dry-ish finish. Medium body with low carbonation.
