Half-pint, cask ale, shared with Finn at Queen Inn. Dotted spots on the nose, filmy layer, cloudy golden body. Spiced fruity aromas. Fruity taste with ginger and rosemary spices. Perfumed fruity end. Sorry, not my kind of beer. (Winchester 23.10.2019).

Cask at the brewpub. Sweet molasses and malt aroma with a definite whiff of heather. Muddy cola brown. Thin off-white just rings the rim. Light sweetness and malts with a light bitter core. Medium bodied. Slick with some stickiness. Flat carbonation. Long finish. Nice but basic - the brown sugar comes through but not picking up heather in the taste.

Cask at the brewpub. Floral and almond aroma. Hazy night gold. Bubbly white head. Light bitter with a sweet marzipan edge. Some sourness develops. Mesium bodied. Slick with a chalky residue. Flat carbonation. Long slightly astringent finish. Hmmm. It's OK. At least they're trying to do something different but verging on sickly for me. Wouldn't order another.
