Moderate sweetness and bitterness, touch tart. Light body, watery, soft carbonation. Least appealing of the 5 Xtreme beers we had at the festival.

8/10/2021. Cask at the 43rd Bedford Beer and Cider Festival. Pours unexpectedly dark, close to black, with a small bubbly tan coloured head. Hadn’t noticed it was a porter until ordering. Aroma of malt, caramel, custard, chocolate, dark fruits, light rhubarb. Medium sweetness, light to moderate bitterness. Medium body, slight sticky texture, soft carbonation. Sweet, berry pie finish. Pretty decent, probably needed a bit more rhubarb.
