Cask half-pint, hand pulled in Ye Olde Fighting Cocks, Oakengates on 8th Feb 2018. Clear, bright and clean golden pour, full white crown on top, good lacing as the beer level dropped. Fairly sweet in nature, yet with a hop front in both the nose and taste. Some fruity notes within the flavours, nice.

26th Oct 2017. CAMRA Beer Festival in Shifnal, Shropshire. Gravity poured half pint. Red hue to the brew, wispy topping. A winter warmer sort of beer, hints of Peat, smoke and Bamberg, get the picture?

500ml bottle, not sure where from. Tanners possibly. Pours dark brown with admirable creamy coloured head. Aroma has plummy hints. Taste is plummy with some chocolate, dark malts, some berry hints along with some other light sweet notes, vanilla maybe? Great body, and good favour profile with some subtle roast and liquorice creeping in on the finish. Pleasantly surprised by this one. I get the impression it is better fresh in bottle than a few days into a cask.
