500ml bottle: BB June 2017. Drank at home on 30th May 2017 (two days before it’s BBD). Clear golden pour, snowy white head. Malty nose and flavour, semi-sweet and easy to drink. Hops hide somewhat, but I really enjoyed this sat in my back garden as the sun went down.

Cask half-pint in the brewery tap (White Lion in Bridgnorth) on 23rd May 2017. By far the best beer I have tried from this brewery. Lovely rich and sweet body, looked regal in the glass, slipped down far too easily. A truly great Mild.

[ As Hop & Stagger Simpson’s Original ].Clear medium orange yellow color with a average, frothy, good to fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, light to moderate hoppy, fruity, UK yeast. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, sweet malt, pale malt, UK yeast, fruity. 29th Oct 2016: cask half-pint in Ye Olde Fighting Cocks, Oakengates. Pale golden body, thin white crown on top. Decent enough blend, nothing heavy or strong aroma or flavour wise, just an easy drinking session Ale. Slight fruity taste, but again subtle in strength.

Cask at the Badelynge Bar; dark brown pour with a thin tan head, aroma has charred roast and a hint of coffee, taste has some chocolate, dark fruits, basic stuff.

500ml bottle: BBD Jan 2017. Poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard at home during a ’Random beer rating’ evening with myself on 17th June 2016. Very dark brown, almost black in fact: the head a light tanned affair. Nose has chocolate, liquorice and vanilla esters within it’s aromas. The taste also consists of those three flavours along with a mixed fruit bowl of red berries. Decent body depth and an interesting beer from start to finish.

Cask, somewhere in Bridgnorth. Pours black with a thin head. Aroma is espresso and roast. Taste has light roast with some coffee on the finish.
