30/4/2022. Can shared at the Croatian GP beer share. From CentrAle, Newcastle. Pours cloudy copper amber with a large frothy white head. Aroma is malty, slightly tinny, hoppy, biscuit, caramel, fruits. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness and body. Oily, quite lively. Earthy finish. Not bad but too fizzy.

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured an orange golden with a white frothy head. Aroma is fruity, citrus, straw, malts, yeast. Taste is yeasty, citrus, bit soapy, light funkiness but not dominant, malty, finish is tingly.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - deep brown to black. Tan head. Nose - roast and dry fruit. Taste - creamy caramel and sweet milk chocolate. Brandy balls. Roast and raisins. Palate - creamy and medium bodied. Roasty and sweet at the same time. Overall - great stuff.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Orangey gold colour, thin white head and aroma of caramel, fruity. Taste is malty, some caramel, with fruity notes and nutty bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry bitter finish. Quite drinkable

Bottle from Appellation Wines, cheers Ash! Pours dark brown with a thin beige head. Aromas of liquorice, tar, leather, wood, coffee. Taste is more oak, tar, prunes, liquorice again. Complex.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - clear golden with a close to snow white head. Nose - a bit smelly up front, almost eggs, but probably yeasty and a bit damp tea towel. Then yeast spice. Taste - tangy orange and floral but clean this time. Dry, as the description says, with an edge of candied lemon. Palate - medium bodied, dry tangy middle and finish. Overall - it smelt terrible, but well made beer in the end.
