Description
Starting brewing in 2017 our modern, bespoke 3bbl microbrewery is located in a 16th century shop front falling within the shadow of Tamworth’s historic Norman castle. Two brew days per week produce experimental brews and regular pale hoppy ales to local pubs.

[ As Tamworth Our Aethel ].
ABV: 5.5%. ✅ Clear medium to dark red brown colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark malt, roasted, light smoked, sour notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light acidic with a average duration, dark malt, roasted, sour - like coffee sour. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20181017]

18/10/2018. Cask at the Robin Hood Beer & Cider Festival 2018, Nottingham. Pours black with a small creamy white head. Aroma of sour fruits and roasted malt. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness with light sour. Medium body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Not so good.

Cask @ Nottingham Beer Festival. Small head with short duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are sour malt, caramel, fruits and hops. Sour finish.

Cask @ Nottingham Beer and Cider Festival. Black with a small beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and a little sour berries. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Light dry and light bitter finish with a light sour edge. 171018

Cask at source. Pours clear gold with a good white head. Aroma is lemon and orange notes with a solid malt base. Taste is a nice bitter citrus fruit hit which is mellowed by the malt leaving a nice dry finish. Good stuff
