0.33 l can from 'Craftbeershop.com', best before November 2024. Hazy, golden yellow with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Slightly sweetish, gently grassy-spicy, moderately fruity-floral aroma of lemon peel, fresh grass and light grains. Slightly sweet, quite dry, gently bitter, fairly grassy-spicy and moderately fruity-floral taste of grains, lemon peel, gooseberry and some fresh grass, followed by a short, gently bitter, rather dry finish. Thin to medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Decent lager, quite dry and bitter, not sure what makes this especially suitable for the winter season though.

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, orange golden colour with average to huge, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Slightly citrusy fruity, hoppy, and sweet-ish, minimally biscuity, pale malty aroma, hints of mandarine and orange, a touch of cracker. Taste is mildly bitter and minimally tart-ish, zesty, citrusy fruity and minimally grassy hoppy, sweet-ish, minimally biscuity, pale malty basis, hints of lemon, orange, mandarine, a touch of orange peel; lingering, zesty, mildly bitter hoppy finish. Watery texture, smooth and soft palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Balanced, harmonious, light and drinkable - nice.

Sweetish-malty, gently roasty aroma of milk chocolate, hazelnut, vanilla and some coffee. Quite sweet, malty, gently roasty taste of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice and roasted hazelnut, followed by a medium long, quite roasty-bitter finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Pleasant Porter, not too sweet, nicely roasty.

330ml bottle. Opalescent, yellow-ish, golden colour, slightly clouded by a shoal of tiny floaters, with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Minimally strawy, pale malty and slightly grassy, hoppy aroma, a touch of thistle, chlorophyll, sorrel, minimally waxy overtones. Taste is mildly bitter, grassy hoppy and minimally strawy, pale malty, hints of thistle, chlorophyll, sedge, sorrel. Minimally oily, watery texture, smooth, simultaneously slightly dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Pretty clean concerning the malty side, fairly multifacetted grassy hop flavours - not bad.

Bottle. Cloudy pale orange/yellow with an ok white head. Aroma of citrus fruits, grass and yeast with some subdued banana and clove. Almost Belgian IPA territory. Taste of grapefruits, yeast, grass and wheat. Moderate bitterness. Strong carbonation. Light-bodied. It starts off very promising but taste and body fail to keep up with the aroma. I really like Turtles and they deserve better.
