Description
At Kinnegar we pair brewing tradition with a contemporary sense of adventure to produce clean, crisp, full-flavoured farmhouse beers. The brewery is named after the nearby Kinnegar Beach
just north of Rathmullan in County Donegal.
Our roots are deeply embedded in the hilly fields and farms of northeast Donegal. This is the perfect environment for the way we make beer. We don’t filter or pasteurise, and we let our industrious little friends, the yeast, carbonate the beer naturally during fermentation.
With the opening of K2, our new state-of-the-art facility in nearby Letterkenny in March 2017, the clinking of bottles coming off our line no longer mingles with the bleating of sheep from the surrounding fields. The farmhouse ethos at the core of what we do however remains the same.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - golden with a generous fluffy head. Nose - light funky lemon and white pepper. Taste - more of the same. Quite ripe fruit this time, almost canned oranges, so perhaps that's the dry hopped effect. Palate - light to medium bodied, creamy yet tangy middle, dry and persistent zingy finish. Overall - good beer.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - deep amber to red. Nice. Big fluffy off white head. Nose - combination of grapefruit and the rye spice. Taste - resin and grapefruit. Again, rye spice. Bitter grapefruit returns. Palate - close to medium bodied. Balanced bitterness through the middle and finish. Overall - good beer. Complex, slightly challenging, but ultimately enjoyable.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - amber with a light haze. Nicely proportioned head. Nose - orange and light biscuit and spice. Taste - orange, herbs a bit like rosemary or lavender. Then biscuits. Palate - medium bodied, crunchy in texture. Dry, crunchy finish with a decent linger. Overall - really interesting taste. Very complex and more-ish.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - hazy golden orange. Generous fluffy head. Nose - orange, thick shred marmalade. Light resin. Taste - more of the marmalade, going into apricot. Palate - close to medium bodied and tangy in texture. Long dry tangy finish. Overall - good stuff. It cleans better than most NEIPA.

Can at home. Clear golden color, medium sized white head. Smell and taste malts, nicely hoppy, hop bitterness. Initially fresh hoppiness but after a while there are also slight notes of iron, slightly metallic en distant butter. Overall it's quite alright. 7-4-7-3-15.

Lata 44 CL en el Scottland yard 16..04.. 2019. (r37 ).
