En helt grei sterkøl for de som liker at pilsen skal være litt mer enn butikkstyrke. Men hvor mye lokale råvarer som er brukt fortelles det intet om...

330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. A bubbly, fawn-coloured head reduced to a patchy layer. Clingy lacing. Dark brown ruby tinted body. Roasted dark malty on the nose joined by raisin. Roasted caramel malty flavours together with moments of raisin and dark bread. Doughy, mid-sweet ending. Medium bodied. Loses some of its flavour after a while in the glass. (New Year’s Day, Tromsø 2017).

Dark and subtle ruby color. Decent intensity in the aroma. Medium + body and a smooth carbonation level. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness. Toffee, bready, some spices and wort in the flavor.

Flaske 330ml fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Langnes. Ultramørk rubinrød. Høyt luftig skum med farge. Daler sakte. Lett karamellaroma. Myk munnfølelse. Bra fylde. Smaken karamell med spor av krydder. Litt julepreg.

Bottle. Pours dark maroon, with a rocky, off white head. Aroma is dark roasted malts, with bread, chocolate and burned wood, as well as notes of coffee. Medium to full body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is dark roasted malts, with bread, coffee and leather.

330 ml bottle. Good locking, clear deep amber body with a medium sized beige head. Aroma is dominated by caramel with a hint of toast and dry fruit. Flavor is sweet caramel malt, some dry fruit, low bitterness and a little hint of warming alcohol. Decent, classic old school Norwegian Christmas brew, but utterly boring. One dimensional and sticky sweet, and where are the spices? Not my kind of beer at all.
