The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: pours slightly hazed gold with a white head. Aroma is bubblegum fruity like a Belgian. I do not know how they got Belgian flavors into a pils, but they seem to have succeeded.

At the source: pours bright raspberry red with a whitish head. Aroma is really fresh raspberrry syrup, sour funkiness. Taste is kind of sour... hardly puckering; however, the raspberry melds very well with the beer backbone and makes for a very respectable beer.

Draught @ Malt and Mold. Inky black with smallish foamy beige head, faint roasted malt aroma, medium carbonation, bitter burnt malt taste with alcohol undertones, somewhat thick body, long bitter burnt malt finish. The roasting seems to have run out of control, there’s a pervasive burnt taste.
