Bottle from Beautiful Beers. This one is called Black Porter Ale but is same % as this beer so didn't want to make extra work for Admins. Appearance - very dark brown to black and opaque. Thin fawn head. Nose - dark chocolate, blackberries and blueberries. Taste - blackberries and chocolate. Prune or raisin edge. Palate - tangy and rich texture. Medium bodied. Tangy but at the same time roast finish. Overall - good stuff.

6/6/2020. Sample courtesy of the SHIG, cheers! Pours deep amber with a bubbly off-white head. Aroma of dried fruits - raisin, date, sultana, mango and apricot - caramel, touch of golden syrup and a little rubber and yeast. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, average carbonation. Quite liked this.

Creamy tan head left a decent cover on an unclear dark amber coloured still body. Woody, sweet citrus & malt aroma. Medium bodied, smooth on the tongue with a sharper clean back. Woody, slightly vinous, raisin, malt & bitter tangy citrus tastes with a long pithy finish. Unusual but tasty.

22/4/2020. Sample courtesy of the SHIG, cheers! Pours just about clear amber brown with a short lasting off-white head. Aroma is nutty, malty, milky chocolate, slightly fruity and herbal. Medium sweetness and light bitterness. Light body, not unexpected with it's low abv. It's ok.
