Like Edinburgh we’re creative, inventive and outward-looking. We combine old and new ideas and techniques to create beers of beauty.
Inspired by the Edinburgh-born ‘Father of Pop Art’ Eduardo Paolozzi, we showcase the art of brewing. Paolozzi took everyday objects and transformed them into works of art; we take overlooked and underestimated beer styles and present them at their beautiful best.

Bottle from a Finnish supermarket. Pours kind of dirty orange, some abundant foam on the top, really foamy. Nose is metallic, some grainy sweetness, oxidised hops. Tastes kind of bitter but unbalanced and not that nice. Dry grassy linger in the finish.

On tap at a Fringe venue. Pours gold. Peach, very floral, bit of noble hop stuff, not much grain. Medium body. Not really very IPA.

I like this very much. Giving a brown a bit of a zesty hoppy kick is no bad thing at all, even as somebody who liked s brown ale. Good stuff.

Bottled 330ml (S-Market Tikkula)
A bit hazy amber colour, small off-white head. Light fruity hops, pine and caramel in the nose. Light-bodied. Pine, fruits and caramel also in the flavour. A bit rough. Reminds me about some APAs from Finnish start up breweries. Tolerable.

Appearance- very lively, dark brown in colour with a giant foamy beige head. Eventually it settles into 2-3 fingers. Aroma is hops, dark fruit, caramel and toasty malt, hint of blackcurrant. Taste- chocolate, caramel, biscuity malt, bitter hops, berry fruit. Bitter lengthy finish, hints of baked apple.
