Forget the craft beer jargon; this IPA speaks for itself. Old World, new-wave hops add a fruity twang to a surprisingly dry, full malt base. Satisfying and sessionable.

Slovenian Styrian Wolf and German Mandarina Bavaria Hops foxtrot on a rich malt base, releasing delicate flares of mandarin and blackcurrant. UNTITLED IPA is the essence of what we love about Edinburgh; it’s modern, outward-looking and proudly distinctive.

The artwork on the packaging comes from an ‘Untitled Proof’ by Eduardo Paolozzi. Like our IPA, you don’t need a specialist degree to enjoy it – it’s an instant, colourful pleasure.

Bottle from Chester Beer and Wine. Cloudy gold with small white head. Aroma is like a golden ale; light biscuit malts with citrus and floral hints. Taste starts a bit standard rich tea biscuit and spice but the medium body helps to elevate some of the hoppy elements and the finish has a lovely fruity berry like resin and good bitter bite. Mixed but something a bit different, I enjoyed it.

Bottle from Aldi Inverurie. It pours clear amber with a foamy white head. The aroma is sweet, oily, perfumed, floral, grass, peppery spice, pot pourri and some sweet rich tea biscuit. The taste is dry, some grassy bitterness, pithy citrus, floral, soapy, some harshness, icing sugar, rich tea biscuit, pear drops with a longer spicy - bitter finish. Average body and moderate, foamy carbonation. A bit harsh in place. Fair.

Bottle from a Finnish supermarket. Pours kind of dirty orange, some abundant foam on the top, really foamy. Nose is metallic, some grainy sweetness, oxidised hops. Tastes kind of bitter but unbalanced and not that nice. Dry grassy linger in the finish.
