Like Edinburgh we’re creative, inventive and outward-looking. We combine old and new ideas and techniques to create beers of beauty.
Inspired by the Edinburgh-born ‘Father of Pop Art’ Eduardo Paolozzi, we showcase the art of brewing. Paolozzi took everyday objects and transformed them into works of art; we take overlooked and underestimated beer styles and present them at their beautiful best.

Keg at BD Inverurie. It pours clear gold with a medium, fluffy white head. The aroma is soft, doughy white bread, biscuit, toasty grain, cereal and grass. The taste is crisp, dry, sweet doughy vibes, grassy bitterness, herbal, touch of spice, metallic edge and a bit grainy with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Nothing to write home about. Would have thought this was more of a macro lager than a microbrewed one. Fair.

On draught at BrewDog Leicester as part of Collabfest 2019. Aroma is low, what I do get is slightly astringent and metallic. Tastes quite metallic as well but there is a welcome note of biscuity malt which lingers through to the finish. Thin body with low to medium carbonation. Not much to it but it grew on me.

Taste is dry, slightly bitter, toasty, nutty malty and slightly fruity, minimally spicy hoppy, a touch of red berries and peppermint, marmalade middle layer; toasty, nutty finish with an earthy touch of Brazil nut. Pretty good.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - golden amber with a nicely proportioned head. Nose - just a subtle hint of biscuit and caramel. Light citrus too. Taste - dry herb and metallic up front. Light toffee again. Palate - light bodied. Creamy and decent bitterness. Overall - not bad.

330ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, yellow-ish golden colour with average to huge, firm, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Citrusy hoppy, slightly wheaty and minimally smoky, malty aroma, minimally dusty yeasty overtones, notes of lemon, some apricot, a touch of banana, a peaty, waxy touch of wood ashes. Taste is dry, citrusy hoppy, slightly fruity, wheaty malty, minimally smoky, hints of apricot, a touch of banana, very subtle sweetness, minimally waxy, cautiously peaty finish. Oily-watery texture, slightly overcarbonated. quite restricted smokiness, nice fruitiness, a bit unbalanced, un-integrated. Grätzer resemblance.
