We built Fair Winds Brewing Company to provide fresh, local, flavorful craft beers to our neighbors and friends in Fairfax County and throughout the Commonwealth and the District of Columbia. We donโ€™t believe in one-size-fits-all; instead we believe that craft beer, like food, should complement the moment and add to the overall experience.

Our beers are born from inspiration, crafted with devotion and served with the excitement and anticipation one experiences when sharing their craft. We welcome you to fill your sails with Fair Winds.

Tap. Pours crystal clear golden amber, small of white head, some lacing. Aroma is dank, tropical, pot, mango, melon. Flavor is light plus sweet, medium bitter, tropical and dank, not harsh. Some citra and simcoe influence for sure. Medium body, soft mouthfeel.

Tap. Pours hazy butterscotch, small beige head, decent lacing. Aroma is a bit buttery, pine, grapefruit. Flavor is pine, a bit of caramel, spruce tips. Light plus sweet, light plus bitter, no real butter here. Fullish body for style, creamy. Kind of old school, but not bad.

A few 10oz draft pours from a growler purchased at the brewery. Poured a deep ruby red color, with an off white head. Aroma was light malts, sweetness. I liken the malt and grain notes to an oatmeal raisin cookie, that distinct sweetness you get from the raisins. Drinkable.

On tap, 5oz pour at the brewery. Poured a clear golden color, medium sized fluffy white head. Aroma was bitter grapefruit. Flavor was similar, some pine notes, resin, lots of bitter grapefruit zest. Alcohol is present in this one. A decent IPA, but is just a bit too bitter for me to completely love it.
