Can from the Packie Somewhat hazy orange grapefruit color with a decent sized frothy white head that persists. Topical pineapple and citrus with sweet bready maltiness to counter. Pretty nice DIPA.

5 oz. draft. Aroma is mostly tropical hints. Flavor shows citrus, mango-ish, herbs. Bitterness is soft herbs and helps cut the sweet fruit. Balance is nice. Above average for sure.

Can from the Packie. Hazy dark brown in color with a decent sized off white head with moderate retention. Rich toffee and caramel with bits of prune raisin and dried cherries. Earthy hops to counter, oak tannin and a solid shot of warming alcohol. Great sipper!

Can from the Packie. Mostly clear deep auburn color with a tightly bubbled tan head that slowly recedes. Rich toasty toffee maltiness with a hint of caramel and some bits of dark dried fruits. Light earthy hop and warming alcohol to counter. Well made sipper.

Can at home always after new NH brewery rates. Nose is sweet tropical fruits and dough. Tastes of pineapple, mango, pizza dough, candy. Low bitterness. Sweet finish.

Pours hazy gold into a shaker. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Citrus and pine aromas. Medium bodied with caramel, tropical fruit and sourdough upfront turning to pine and pith in the medium length finish. Throwback west coast done well.

Can (1/24/18) pour from trade with Johnnnniee--thanks, John! Appearance is opaque black with nice sparkle at the edges of the glass, finger-plus width light brown fizzy head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is strong bourbon over roasted malt and dark fruit with mild plastic (resolves as it warms) and chocolate. Taste is strong bourbon (with a bit of isopropyl alcohol, too), toffee, dark fruit and lesser roasted malt. Mouthfeel is full bodied with thick, slippery texture, fair alcohol warmth, soft carbonation and dry, roasted malt finish with lingering moderate bitterness. Overall, the bourbon is still alive and well almost 3 years in! There's a slightly offputting synthetic/industrial element that detracts from the rest of the aroma and taste. Nice elements otherwise.

16 oz. can. Holy hell I beat johnnnniee to a Great North review!! How did that happen? Aroma is oak, soft run, and vanilla. Body is appropriate for the style. Flavor has soft oaky rum though out with a vanilla and chocolate malt like finish. Pretty nice!

5 oz taster. Flavor shows a good amount of citrus with soft pineapple and coconut hints. Has a good amount of juice with a very slight earthy pine like note. Mild early hop additions.

Can from the Packie Hazy lemon gold color with a huge rocky white head that slowly recedes. Earthy grass pine and sweet bread on the nose. Citrus, orange, sweet bread, light earth and grass in the flavor. Light diacetyl is a little distracting. Decent brew but I've been more impressed with some other versions of this.
