Cask (Lady Greys, Newcastle) - Amber in coloour. Apricot, pepper and dried fruit in the aroma. Bitter and fruity taste with caramel, raisins and grapefruit detected.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 3/3/2014. Hazy gold with a decent white head. Sweet, grainy malts, some lemon citrus fruit and a hint of spice, before a gentle finish. Fine.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 3/3/2014. Amber with a tight, off-white head. Sweet, slightly cloying, caramel, tangerine and strawberry notes, some floral hops and a moderately bitter finish. Not for me.

Cask at Six D Abz. It pours amber with a thick beige head. The nose is caramel, toast, candy and orange peel. The taste is crisp, bitter-sweet, caramel, floral, wood, toast and leafy with a bitter-sweet finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Nice citrus on burp. Alreet.

On tap at the Red Squirrel. Appearance - light amber with a nice head. Nose -papaya and sweet melon. Some general fruit salad notes. Taste - more papaya and general tropical fruits. Very tasty. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a very balanced but still refreshing finish. Overall - lovely beer. Perhaps my first from this brewery. I’m impressed.

Cask at The Hanging Bat. Hazy golden body with a medium off-white head. Light lacing. Aroma of apple, custard and grass. Flavour of peach, earth, cereal and white grapes. Finish is slightly sour. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft carbonation prickle. Not bad, but not one I’ll be seeking out again.

Rake. Cask. Cloudy murky orange beer with a residual white head. Palate is light and semi dry, modest carbonation. Dry malt. Light apple and oranges. Whisper of spice. Dry finish. Messy.

Rake. Cask. Light haze on this deep amber beer. Small pale cream coloured head. Smooth and slightly soft palate with modest fine carbonation. Sweetish malts. little cream. Light sweet red berries. Touch of sweet marmalade. Light semi dry finish. I like a sweet beer but the sweetness here makes no sense and is off putting.

Cask at The Hanging Bat. Murky golden orange with decent white head. Some lemon aromas, but mostly malt. Quite a lot of caramel malt aromas for the style. Herbal notes come through more on the taste, alongside orange. A bit sticky and mouth-coating though. Not bad.
