On draft as part of a flight at Global Brew, Evansville. Typical BC look. Aroma is strong bourbon, coconut, earthy malt. Taste is strong coconut, bourbon, toffee, dark fruit and earthy malt. Smooth texture, soft carbonation, finish as taste with faint alcohol astringency. Smoother and alcohol better covered than others I’ve had today. Dig it.

16.9 oz. bottle. Pours black, with a big, rocky, brown head. The nose is dark chocolate, surprisingly hot ginger, coconut cream, and butterscotch toffee. Sweet and sugary, with a burnt, sticky bitterness. Heavy body, syrupy and thick. Kinda hot. Aggressive and interesting.
Elegant as wheat wines can be... this one is bold. Still, after 7 years.

Bottle. Color: Black, very thin brown head. Aroma: Roasted malt, Bourbon, some spicy rye notes. Taste: Roasted malt, Bourbon, vanilla, some spicy rye, hints of dark coffee. Full body, below average carbonation. Medium sweet, over moderate bitterness. Subtle boozy. Very nice.

Bottle at share. Near black pour, paper thin beige head. Woody aroma, earthy, deep roasty notes, boozy. Taste opens with a strong bourbon character, very smooth, solid base of sweet, roasty notes. Burns a bit on the way down. Top notch brew

Number one with a bullet! A 5 ounce draft. Aroma shows me bold chocolate with mild hazelnut and fudge. Flavor is bold marzipan and hazelnuts. Thick texture with a lot of lingering hazelnut. Booze is here. Can’t wait to see what my bottles do after 10 months of sitting!

5 oz draft. Aroma of Heaven Hill, Wild Turkey and mild cherry juice. Flavor thankfully is not overpowered by cherry purée. Shows a good amount of bourbon with a mild cherry accent in the finish. It is fresh on draft so it is a little bit boozy. 9 to 12 months from now this is gonna be perfect
