Bottle from Oddbins, Bruntsfield. Clear golden body with a faint white head that quickly fades. Steady carbonation. No lacing. Weak aroma of biscuit, pine and straw. Flavour of lightly roasted malt with a whisper of hops. Thin body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. Clean but pretty much flavourless.

Bottle at Fastelavn Smagning 2014 @ J&C’s beer palace, Jutland Saturday Session 2 - 01/03/14, acquired from the premier Oddbins at LB. Murky amber orange with moderate off white spottage. Nose is spice, pumpkin pie, herbal twang, bitter orange, over ripened fruits. Taste comprises throat losenge, bitter orange, medicinal pangs, spice, cinamon bark. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, spicy linger in the close. Hmmm ... over spiced and no balance, not an easy drinker, of all the beers to promote as a shop special !!!

Bottle. It pours an unclear, golden-orange body under a small, off-white head. The aroma has cinnamon, ginger and cloves, some dried fruits too. The flavor has the same spices, a tad much on the clove side. Some caramel notes and dried fruits. Some sweetness and bitterness, but actually it’s a tad too dry to bear the spices. Medium body. Lasting clove finish with some caramel. Not my kind of spiced beer. 140301

Very hazy amber beer, thin pale cream coloured head. Palate is minerally crisp. Sweetish dried fruits are dominated by big cinnamon and cloves. Finishes semi dry. Not exactly subtle spices eh?

Bottle share at the Watford Tasting from the London bridge Oddbins. Aroma is spruce needles, cinamon. Orange, caramel pour, no head to speak of. Flavour is heavy on the christmas spices, nutmeg, cinamon pine needles, not much beer flavour. lots of spices.
