Bottle bought at Garsons Farm Shop, West End. Should go well with me Plowman's. Aroma is malty with surprisingly chocolate notes. Copper gold. Frothy blotchy translucent white head. Light-medium bitter. Grainy. Malty. A touch of citrus, moreso into the finish. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Dry finish. Pleasent stuff.

Bottle from Garsons Farm Shop, West End. Aroma has initial hit of blackberries. Followed up by underlying creamy chocolate. Dark. Stygian. Frothy foamy beige head. Sour blackberries. Underlying malts. That's pretty much it. Other than a gluey flavour into the finish. Light. Thin. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long astringent finish. Ermm... the thinnest Stout going and no idea where they chocolate went but the sour blackberries are nice enough.

Bottle from Garson Farm Shop. Pretty sure this had a perhaps short-livid original release as a Porter... the name being a clue. Aroma had creamy mocha, with some roast and a hint of dark berries. It's black if thin of appearance. Bubbly beige head soon dissappear almost entirely. Light bitter. Coal. A sour berry edge then appears. A vague creamy presence. So restrained it's almost catatonic. Light-medium bodied. Milky more than creamy. Skimmed. Flat carbonation. Long slightly astringent finish. Really quite boring if not minging.

Bottle from Garson Farm, West End. Aroma certainly has vanilla mixed in with creamy coffee. Dark with a red tint. Bubbly off-white head soon retreats to the rim. There's a bitter espresso and charcoal core. Sour berry and citrus edge. And then the vanilla throughout. However it's the sourness that becomes prominent. Light-medium bodied. A thin creaminess. Soft-fizzy and very lively carbonation. Long astringent finish. Nice enough but feels basic.

Bottle bought at Garsons Farm Shop, West End (not that West End). The aroma reaches me well before I am anywhere near the glass - strong coffee and hazelnut/praline. A hint of liquorice. Dark, if watery looking. Light beige head swiftly retreats to the rim. Initial big hit of dark tart berries with bitter coffee. There is a nuttiness but it's in the undertow. Liquorice edge. Medium bodied. Thin creaminess. Long dry acidic finish. It's fine. Not boring, not mind blowing.

Bottle from Garsons, Esher, Surrey. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a thin beige head which doesn't hang about very long. Nice rich sweet, vanilla, chocolate aroma. Tastes similar but quite thin and lacking complexity. Still a pleasant enough easy drinking vanilla milk stout from Surrey.

Cask at Horse & Groom, Chobham. Aroma of floral light citrus and a touch of spice. Develops a sugary syrup sweetness. Copper gold. Thin creamy translucent white head. Medium bodied. Slick. Flat-average carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Enjoyable zesty Gold.

[Cask at the Crown, Horsell.] A bright amber pour with a ring of white head and lots of lacing on the glass; floral aroma; biscuity malt taste; and a dry finish with a herbal bitterness. A pleasant pint of bitter.

Third, gravicask, shared with Finn at Twickenham Beer and Cider Festival. Bubbles on the surface of clear, warm golden body, fair lacing. Moderate grainy fruits on the nose. Mixed taste of bread-like malts and mid-sweet fruits. Bittersweet end. Accepted. (24.10.2019).
