Bottle shared by Beersiveknown @ tasting at his place. Huge thanks Steve! Clear light amber (ish) color, small off-white head. Smell and taste malts, buttery, diacetyl and moldy musty crap. Not good at all.

Bottle at home in Northern Ireland picked up from Crumlin Tesco. A hazed pale golden coloured pour with a a fine white fizz. Aroma is tangy wheat, apple, straw, little stale malts. Palate is is tangy sour, mild infection, fizzy carbonation. Flavour is composed of tangy sour, green apple. Wheat, cider. Pretty shitty.

Bottle from the brewer’s own stand at the Good Food Show at Birmingham NEC. Black with a thin beige head. Dominated by vegetable notes. Chicory in particular. Little grassy and roasty notes sneak around the edges but the chicory is killing this. Like camp coffee but with more of the camp and less of the coffee. Something wrong with this bottle maybe, but as it’s fresh and direct from the brewery I’m happy to rate it as I find it. Which is not very good.

Bottle from the brewer’s own stand at the Good Food Show at Birmingham NEC. A hazy amber-red brew with a sweet caramel and toast flavour. Ok, but as is often the case with this style it felt a bit-um- saggy is the word that springs to mind. Just needs a little extra something to make it stand out a bit more.

Not as good this bottle...much more dark fruits in the nose, vinous, some oxidation. Taste has some sour dark fruits in there, dark chocolate has gone, mainly dark fruits, vinous. On the turn, still drinkable, but not as good. Shame it doesn’t seem to be consistent as tip top is a really good beer.
