Bottled@wPBFIII (thanks omhper!). Goldeny orange colour with small foamy head that leaves some lace. Aroma is sweet fruits, mild grass and sweet malts. Flavour is quite bitter fruity and floral notes along with some grass, sweet malts as well as some slight biscuity notes.

Thick, firm brown-tan hed over deep brown beer; some fine lace. Rich nose with lots of chocolate and dark malt/maltcake or -crumble. Hint at fresh herbs (cilandro, parsley?) and hops. Nice. Roastiness soon giving way to a malty, cakey sweetness; Only in the very end again more bitterness, as in black chocolate, roastcrust or, indeed, hops. Again something I usually associate with oatmeal stout/porter - a grainy creaminess. Feels very carbonated, hint at alcohol, bit agressive. Yet creamy-viscous, rather well-bodied. Very good porter, IMO, pleasing, not too burnt as some. (As to the blurb, because I ain’t got no oyster money!)

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, 11 Jan 2014) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate, coffee and dark fruit. Roasted, malty taste with coffee, chocolate, dark bread, vanilla and a creamy finish with a fresh roasty bitterness. More than medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel, lots of chocolate and mocha flavours. Excellent balance. Lovely beer!

(Draught at Man in the Moon, Stockholm, 11 Jan 2014) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of citrus, orange peel, grapefruit, resin and caramel. Fruity, malty taste with citrus, grapefruit, citrus peel, resin, caramel and a generous citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. Solid and well made IPA with an impressive hop character. Very nice.

Bottle. A really dark brown one, looking unclear, and with a dense, finger-thick dark beige head. The aroma has some herbal chili notes, with roasted malts, coffee and some dark chocolate. There’s some chili burn on the palate, but not much. Full body, semi-dry and with a nice carbonation level. Roasted malts, coffee, chocolate and some chili in the flavor. Lasting roasted finish with chili, coffee and roasted malts. A really balanced chili stout that I could have several times. 140118

Vestjysk Vinter Vanvid januar 2014. Near black with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of licorice and chocolate, with a strong note of green pepper. Sweetish roasted flavour with licorice and chocolate notes, and a spicy hot finish. Somewhat boring porter, with a well balanced use of chili.
