Description
The Microbrewery of Thessaloniki is the first Microbrewery in Thessaloniki. We are 4 friends and old classmates, Antonis, Nikos, Thomas and Lina. Antonis is a chemist and the rest of us are Agronomists-Food Technologists. We are and will remain young because we want to produce real beer! Our goal is to spread the culture of beer in Greece, but also the concept of microbrewery. We want to "educate" the public about beer and introduce it to new flavors and aromas. Our goal is for each of our beers to be distinguished for its special aromas and flavors. We want Ali to be established as the local beer of Thessaloniki.

In my opinion, it is not the best IPA that I drank. The taste is really watery, malty, some hop but there is a lack of something, 12.08.2016, sharing this beer with Fred, at Lausanne, Prélaz.

But of an odd taste. Too much sediment for this style, bit off colour.

Bottle. Cloudy dark orange sporting a nice white head. Aroma of grains, yeast and lemons. Taste of malts, grains, grass and citrus fruits. Herbal and fruity topped off with a decent bitterness. Medium carbonation. Well, this is was a really nice unfiltered Pils.

Tap at The Hoppy Pub. Very dark brown with creamy brown head. Licorice, tar, dark roasted malts, soft sweet malts underneath, asphalt, dark chocolate and old coffee. Light grassy a bit of herbs underneath the licorice. Under medium sweet and roasted bitter with a long lasting roasted bitter finish. Medium bodied with a watery finish.
