Bottle from the Beer Temple, Hanoi. Poured a hazy golden colour with a fizzy, mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is dry malt, caramel, mineral, light tropical fruit hop. The flavour is moderate bitter light sweet with a crisp, bubbly, malt, light dry light floral hop bitter palate and a bubbly mouthfeel. Medium to light bodied with average to lively carbonation.

Tap at the Beer Temple, Hanoi. Poured a hazy golden orange colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, light citrus fruits, light banana. The flavour is yeasty citrus, with a crisp fresh, grainy, banana, light clove spicy palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Nicely balanced for a Wit. Served cool and not over yeasty which often puts me off other beers of the same style. Very drinkable for a session.

Draft at the Beer Temple, Hanoi. Poured a slightly hazy medium amber with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, resin, light fruits, big woody hop. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter, with a fresh, crisp, resin, light metallic, dry woody hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. Very bitter and very refreshing. Not like any other Vietnamese IPA I’ve ever had.

On tap at Beer Temple, pours a cloudy dull golden with a small white head. Aroma is pretty nonexistent, with light citrus and coriander. Flavour is dull, with cardboard, bready malt and light citrus. Tastes stale and dull. Not good.

On tap at Standing Bar, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out piney hops and dry biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with piney hops and toasted biscuity malt. Piney and dry. Good stuff.
