Pours gold with a very small white head.Nose is massively skunky. Underneath is... nothing.Flavours show sweet vegetal notes at first before transitioning to cardboard characters. No bitterness.Carbonation is a bit over the top, body is watery.I’m somewhat confused as to why Burleigh brewed this?

From a 330ml bottle on 22/1/2011. Has a nice floral and passionfruit aroma, not unlike Little Creatures Pale. Flavour wise, there’s more passionfruit, and a bit of honey, followed by a long and quite pronounced lemony sour bitterness. Not a bad effort, though could be a bit better balanced.

From a 650ml bottle on 28/12/2010. Pours a dark mahogany. Has a strong aroma of coffee with some chocolate and raisins. The flavours are dark roast coffee, burnt malt, toast, dark chocolate and a bit of caramel. This one has a very nice sweet bitter balance, and the carbonation is spot on. A very nice, quite meaty dark drop.

From a 650ml bottle on 23/12/2010. Has a very mild malty aroma. This is disappointingly bland when it comes to flavour. Just a dash of caramel malt up front and the gentlest of hops at the end. For a bitter, it’s not particularly bitter. The palate is relatively thin and watery. An average beer, but at least the packaging is good.

Bottle. Brown tinged black with a large tan head that fades to 1 cm. Singed caramel and coffee aroma. Taste has roasted malt, coffee, slightly salted licorice. Roasted bitterness and grass in the finish. Solid enough beer.

Pours orange/amber with a lasting head.Nose shows lots of juicy fruits, lychee, pear, apple, orange blossom... very sweet. Underneath is honey and a little caramel.Flavours are more malt-focussed, lots of bready, nutty characters. Finishes a little weakly. After a while some grainy malt surfaces.Body is a little light on.

Faux-distressed bottle. Clear amber with a small white head. Smells of nectarines, orange blossoms, lychees and a little pine. Tastes rather more pedestrian than it smells: there’s light caramel, some fruit and quite plain but firm bitterness. Plain-tasting and a little watery but pleasant enough. Good bitter finish.

Pours black with a lasting tan head.Nose shows heavy coffee and some oatmeal backed by soft roasted malt.Similar amount of coffee as a flavour, perhaps a bit heavy-handed. Underneath is some sweet malt, very clean.Too highly carbonated.

Bottle. Hazy beer that’s more yellow than orange. Poor head. Aroma has sweet and sour wheat, lemon, banana, cloves. Quite bready but still light. Taste is fruity with some nice wheat and lemon sourness and a decent spicy finish. Solid beer.

From a 330ml bottle on 14/8/2010. Pours golden with no hint of the cloudiness mentioned in the description above. Has a nice, quite powerful floral, fruity hop aroma. The taste is dominated by a long, peppery, almost sour hop finish which overpowers the sweet citrus fruit flavours in the background. This is a quite distinctive drop, but it lacks balance and is a little too harsh to be really enjoyable.
