Taster at GABS Sydney. Malt peach nose. Golden beer with white head. Flat mouthfeel, clean finish. Spritzy and really does taste of peachs. Good bitterness, superb.

On taster at GABS, Melbourne: Very peach forward aroma. Pink in appearance. The peach flavours overwhelm any hints of saison. More fruity than farmy. But ignoring the guidelines this is refreshing.

Bottle, 8C. Mid-brown with an off-white head. Surprising aroma of oranges and grass above toast and dried fruit. Fairly light-bodied, higher carbonation than you’d expect from a brown ale, but this is a bit different and it works well. Sweet caramel and some toast, dried fruit - not that I’d have guessed actual dates in 20 guesses - with quite bright grassy and zesty citrus. Quite dry at the end with moderate bitterness. One I’ve walked past many times - more fool me. Original and fine autumnal drinking.

(Bottle) Clear amber brown with slight white head. Lovely fresh aroma of pine with lime / citrus hints. Medium body lightly carbonated. Nice sweet well rounded start - malty (and as I know they are there I can believe dates too but would never have identified them, except the sweetness is more than just malt). The rich start gently mellows through the palate and when it has almost ebbed away a lovely fresh hoppy bitterness steadily takes it’s place. It’s far from intense but very pleasant. A somewhat unusual beer that works very well.

330ml into schooner glass. Great nose, freshly mowed grass and pepper. Amber beer with thin white head, bubbles on side of glass. Bitter, thin and flat in the mouth. Finish is creamy with more hop bitterness. Looks a lot like XXXX but tastes much better. Interesting, sessionable.

(Bottle) Clear amber with small transient off white head. Nice aroma - citrus with pine hints. Light body modest carbonation. Sweet and fruity start develops some reasonable bitterness in the finish. Very drinkable.

330ml bottle into glass. Bought some of these to give to a mechanic who helped me out (he’s on some low carb kick). God, I hate the label. Aroma is a bit metallic then nothing. Amber beer with white film, tiny carbonation. Thin mineral water mouthfeel. Slight (and I mean SLIGHT) bitter finish. Wow, this beer is ephemeral. Gives a new meaning to ’full-flavoured’.

330ml bottle into glass. Acidic wheat nose. Hazy golden beer with solid white head. Creamy texture but aftertaste is too vegetal. Very slight late bitterness. The wheat is there, but hard to find. Disappointing.

330ml into pint glass. Malty liquorice chocolate nose. Deep amber with creamy white head. Quite fizzy for a bitter. Beautiful unusual hop character, creamy, bitter, liquorice again. Really nice.
