330ml can from Paus Craft Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is light toffee caramel malt, light citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a crisp, light fruity, light caramel, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. An easy drinking Aussie Pale Ale that will find a market, without winning too many awards.

(Can) Pours clear deep red brown with tiny off-white head. Nice aroma of blueberries, toast and hints of nuts. Light body with lively carbonation. Taste is sour, but nicely so. Layered on this is notes of dark toffee and black tea, and of course blueberries. Nice sour with some interesting extra dimensions.

(Can) Good looking beer - black with big tan head. Nice hoppy aroma - pine and citrus. Medium bodied with excellent mouth filling soft and bright carbonation. Taste is fine but a little underwhelming. There’s some nice bitterness in the finish along with some nice dark roast notes. The foretaste and mid palate are fine but a bit dull - there’s a bit of fruitiness and a hint of chocolate, but just lacks character. Very drinkable.

Schooner on tap at The Scratch, Milton. Cloudy amber beer with a thin white head, faint aroma of perfume (bergamot I presume). Medium sharp mouthfeel. Bitter taste with a dry 'twiggy' finish. As it warms flavours of white wine, mushrooms, gourd fruit appear. Finally it starts to display notes of bergamot tea. Certainly the most interesting beer Young Henry's have made.

Although it's light on rye, this is a really lovely, full bodied IPA with a big alcohol hit. The taste is where it's at here with pine, lemon, orange peel, toast and even a little chocolate and stonefruit. This one really coats the tongue and lingers long in the mouth.

On tap at Spotted Mallard, Brunswick, VIC. Amber. Medium head. Little bit of pine on nose. Nice biscuity, almost spice herbaceousness. Not much bitterness. Very drinkable, but not astounding.
