Bottled. An amber mead. The aroma has notes of honey and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of honey and flowers, leading to a dry finish.

Bottle, 10C. Copper. Aroma of honey, nutmeg, cinnamon, oregano, vanilla, apples. Flat. Only slightly syrupy. Taste is sweet with prominent apples, lightish honey, lemon, vanilla, nutmeg, some cloves. Alcohol is hidden. Acidity is not all that obvious (to me - I know nothing about mead) but the sweetness doesn’t linger on the palate. Easily enjoyable enough to drink the rest but maybe not in one go.

(Bottle) Clear deep, slightly ruddy, golden with almost no head. Gentle interesting aroma with a mix of fruitiness, herbs and a slight flintiness. Light body with good carbonation. Light fruity start with little sweetness developing into a rather aggressive hoppy bitterness, which to me seemed to lack the complex tastes and was somewhat dull and aggressive. Pleasant enough, but doesn’t really do it for me.

Growler. Dark brown with a puffy pale beige head that lasts OK. Aroma of chocolate and dark sugars and some nuts underneath volatile passionfruit, grapefruit and pine. Fairly light bodied, just a little oily. Don’t quite understand how it’s as strong as 6.5%. Briefly sweet with chocolate, caramel and some earthy nuts before quite piney bitterness sweeps everything aside. Not far from the 2 Bros/ Feral Collaborator.
