Amber, with just a slight haze and a fairly rich bubbly head. Peachy-marmaladey aroma is pleasing. Light grapefruity bitterness, mild caramelly malts, fruity hops. Balanced if mellow IPA.

330ml bottle. Pours a clear amber colour, big frothy off-white head and aroma of citrus & resiny hop. Taste is malt caramel with earthy sweetish floral orange citrus and light pine bitterness. Smooth mouth feel, light to medium bodied, medium carbonation, dry finish. Quite drinkable IPA.

From a 330ml bottle on 13/6/2013. Pours a crystal clear pale yellow with a medium bright white head. Not too much in the way of aroma - just a bit of grain and a hint of fruit. The flavour surprised me - it’s actually rather pleasant. There’s quite a bit of bready malt, a touch of citrus, and a moderate dash of hops, which makes it quite refreshing. Has a light body and lively carbonation. I’ve come to expect to be disappointed by McLaren Vale beers, but it’s pleasing to see them come up with an above average pale lager. Like the label as well.

Growler from Dan Murphy, Prahran (!). Soupy orange with a coat of white head that doesn’t last. Wheaty aroma with oranges, coriander, cloves and rhubarb. Light bodied, very refreshing and alive. A little tart rhubarb, quite punchy spices, orange and lemon zest. Pretty good.
