500mL bottle, pours a clear bright reddish amber with a small white head. Aroma has some weird overripe fruits, wild bugs, and some farty notes. Flavour is bizarre, with some overripe red fruits, some farty notes, and some bugs. Sulphuric, red fruity finish. Not working here.
Nice! Tart, fruity, sour and that weird oud bruin sweetness too. Good stuff!

32 oz growler poured, filled at Elliott Bay, Lake City. Half price growlers during these crazy times, and I have zero problem drinking quality beer like this for under $5 per half growler. Awesome! Has nobody placed a Cease and Desist on people using the name Cease and Desist yet? I feel like I see it around all the time. I'll just pretend like I'm enjoying a glass of Elliott Bay Black Ops right now. Jet black appearance, tan sticky foam head and lacing. Good roasty flavor, bold and bitter. Lots of burnt toast (just how I like my toast), earthy malts and forest hops. I love black IPA's. I don't drink them very often at all, mostly because not very many folks brew them like they used to in the CDA boom. Always a treat. Nice brew here.

Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Black colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy chocolate aroma. Light sweet and bitter flavor. Average light bitter finish. Oily palate.

Brown, beige head.Vague malt nose and palate. Drinkable, not memorable

Enjoyed on draft, and poured to a tulip at Hop and Hound. Beautiful black cherry pour with a hot pink foam head that slowly fades. Very nice first taste impression. Grape juicy, and tart black cherry and raspberry linger. Less sour than the aroma would suggest. A touch dry on the finish. Some wine notes. A delicious sour here.

Draft pour at Brother Barrel. Always enjoy a stout that's aged in something a little different than the ordinary. A dark red tinted brown pour, big bubble head. The aroma makes it no secret on the barrel here. Big red winish nose, slight dough as well. Tons of wood character in both aroma and flavor. Very unique flavor as an overall. Base beer seems light when paired with the wine notes. Long cool, oak like finish. It dares to be tart, but it's hard to call it that. Extremely interesting.

Draft pour at Brother Barrel. A darker copper red pour, swirling oil fizz head. Very nice aroma on this, that cherry pie reminder, but a bit more tart than typical responses. A nice combination of cool cherry, fresh feel despite the sour constant. Pleasant and refreshing sour going on here. Nicely done.

Draft pour pint at Elliott Bay, Lake City. This batch dropped from 5.8 to 5.4%, so I guess the imperial session IPA jokes can't quite be made as much for me. Bumma! A clean and bright golden pour. Nice soft cream body with plenty of balanced hop and grain flavor throughout. Refreshing, and an excellent meal companion. Solid session. I'd love another.
