St. Ives Brewery
Microbrewery
in Hayle,
Cornwall,
England 🏴
Associated Venue: St. Ives Brewery
Established in 2010
Recently we have consolidated a decade of experience and launched a new core range - we hope you enjoy them! We believe in 'The Art of Brewing'; heavily-hopped IPA's, modern classics and an incredible view from our tap room!
In 2015 we found our new home on Trenwith Burrows and set up our 10 brewers barrel plant along with gift shop and cafe above. With stunning views over St.Ives harbour and onwards to Godrevy Lighthouse, there could not be a more picturesque location to brew award winning beers.
In late 2022 the brewery moved to brand new premises in Hayle.

Cask at Egham Easter 24. Aroma has rich malty chocolate. Murky darkest brown. Thin frothy foamy white head. Restrained berries, followed by mocha and Malta. Light-medium bodied. Slick verging on creamy. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Nice.

Cask at Egham Easter 24. Aroma is obscured by the previous beer. I'll strain. Fruit and malts. Clear dark amber. Frothy foamy off-white head. Medium bitter. Light resin. Stone fruit. Underlying malts. Long dry slightly astringent finish. OK if unexciting.

Growler fill from the Low Cost Beer online shop. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas of mixed spice and dates, some chocolate. Raisins and toffee. Taste is more of the same. Fair enough. Does what they aimed to do.

500ml bottle: BB November 2024. Drank at home on 8th March 2024. Mini-haze to the yellow/golden body, white crust. Fruity and juicy tropical/citrus aromas and flavours, light bitterness with a some semi-sweet malt action.

500ml bottle: BB September 2024. Poured into my old Paderborner Goldpilsner vase shaped glass (twice) at home on 8th March 2024. First pour gave me a bright, clean and clear golden beer with a snow white head, the second pour gave a slight haze to the golden body. A mini sweetness in the taste, grainy/malty and earthy, enjoyed it.

Spotty off white head on a reddish brown coloured body. Malt & berry aroma. Medium bodied, soft with a cloying back. Berry, malt, sugar & caramel tastes with a bitter hopped up finish. Tasty.
