Hand pulled pint in The Cock Hotel, Wellington on 2nd Feb 2012. Mid-range on everything really: fairly light almost golden body; white crown of foam on top, the new age typical UK bitter look in fact. The aroma was a blend of malty molasses and bitter hops, as was the taste. Drier than some but not cheek suckingly so. An ’alright beer’ but nothing spectacular.

Cask gravity at Reading BF 2010. Attractive colour, just not a dark mild as described in the programme. Reddy colour, not much of a beer, ok malts, no real hop. It’s a light mild.

Cask-conditioned at the Royal Oak, Bath 28/9/07. An amber bitter with a slight, off-white head. The aroma was of fruity malt with some earthy hops. The flavour was of biscuity malt with a decent bitter finish. Good.
