Draft. Slightly hazy deep golden color, fluffy off white head, not ugly like some of those NE IPAs. Aroma of spiced brown bread. Taste is spiced and moderately bitter. Nice.

Week old can > tulip. A: Pours huge yellow head atop a burnished orange body. Mostly clear. Good retention and thick lace. S: Pine and sweet baked bread. Slight hint of bitter orange. T: Very bitter with pine and tart pith. Bread from the nose seems lost in the hop resin. Light citrus shows up late. It has a sort of powdery persimmon quality that presents in the nose taste and feel. Unsure what to make of it but it’s off-putting. M: Light but hardly watery, with lots of rough resin. Average carbonation. O: It’s bitter enough to satisfy hopheads but ultimately this is not good.

Canned, from Systembolaget. Hazy amber, rich head. Caramelly nose with some grapefruit. Sweet with solid body and rounded mouthfeel. Chewy crystal malt. Caramel and grapefruit. Long bitter finish. Very solid uncomplicated amber ale - not sure where the Irish part is, though

4 week old pint can into a stange. A: Finely hazed deep gold pour with clumpy shit floating around. Very little head but a lasting ring and spotty lace. Looks good except for the trash. S: Fruity vinous aroma of green apple and sweet bread. T: Crisp malty flavor hits first with more woody than bready notes. Herb and grass hops joining. Dry and less fruity than expected though grape/apple/pear is present and lingers with a bit of alcohol. M: Medium body with low carbonation. Wet winey finish. O: Quite good overall. Seems boozy for a Kolsch and appearance could be cleaned up but four pints cost $6 @ Total Wine and it’s well worth that price.

12 oz can poured into a tulip. Courtesy of a friend, thanks Mike! Nice clear golden orange with a bit over a finger of off-white head. Aromas of herb, yeast, a little banana, a little alcohol. Tastes of herbs, spice, some banana, a little citrus, some malt. Medium body with a dry finish. Pretty easy to knock back for around 9%.
