Super hazy orange and cloudy amber coloured body with a thin, fast dying tan head. Aroma of honey, coriander seed, wheat, yeast, bread, curacao and a lot of alcohol. Medium-bodied; Large wheat and yeast presence at first with a strong curacao and orange flavour as well, with a lot of alcohol coming through in the taste near the end. Aftertaste shows a subdued bread and grain flavour with a lot of honey and peach tastes, but the alcohol and curacao notes are the strongest. Overall, a decent tripel with perhaps too much alcohol and/or wheat notes. Nice to try and having a tripel in a can is actually a pretty neat thing. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Whole Foods in Washington (Foggy Bottom), DC on 13-January-2014 for US$2,99 sampled at home in Washington on 08-July-2014.

Can thanks to Nathan. Pours a cloudy yellow with small frothy white head. The aroma is strong clove, banana, yeast, and citrus. Medium mouthfeel with sweet banana, clove, citrus and light dry finish. Decent.

On draft at the Pangea Tavern in Avon NC. Pours a clear deep amber with an ecru head. Mild malty nose. Caramel and piney hops dominate the flavor. Bitter finish.

12 oz. can, thanks to Carlson. Pours light gold, with a medium, off-white head. The aroma is bubblegum, straw, biscuit dough, and bananas. Very sweet aroma, with a nice touch of hoppy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, chewy, creamy, with a smooth, easy aftertaste. This is a nice attempt at a Tripel, with a lot of yeasty notes, but it is much too sweet, and has practically no hop bitterness or dryness. If it weren’t for the style expectations, this could be a pretty nice, yeasty, high gravity cream ale, but it is not a Tripel.

12 oz. can from Carlson, after climbing the Prow at Table Rock. Pours dark brown, with a fairly big, foamy, beige head. The aroma is a lot of caramel, pumpernickel, light rye, and butter toffee. Very sweet and malty, with a nice, mellow hop bitterness, and a little spice. Medium body, malty, and smooth. Overall, this is a nice, easy-drinking, and very flavorful beer. Could drink a lot of this.

This was poured into a chalice.
The appearance was a nice hazy golden yellow/orange color with a nice one finger white foamy head that died at a moderate pace and ends up leaving rarely any lacing.
The smell had a large amount of coriander spices and leading into a decent amount of Belgian spices that end up allocating itself into a nice Belgian sweetness from some candied fruits.
The taste was nice and sweet and spicy with the previously mentioned flavors entering in and leading to a spicy sweet aftertaste and a quick dry spicy sweet finish.
On the palate, it sat at/about a medium and gave a decent sessionable quality about it. The carbonation seemed just right for the style and for me.
Overall, darn glad I found these notes as this was memorable enough to say something on. Good Tripel worthy of having again.

Tap at GTown Paradiso. Unfiltered copper red color. Steady foamy beige head. Malty, resinous IPA. Good, but tastes like 2005. Oily hop resins. Rich, earthy, woody. I like it, but it doesn’t have the finesse a good IPA should have in 2013. Tolerable. Piny massiveness. OK.

Like a tripel with light bretta and it works very well. Potentially the best I’ve had at the festival. Lightly sour and awesome, comes together well. Finishes with some tang but manages to keep the coriander and clove in good proportion. I hope they meant to make it like this, haha. Pours golden with good head and lacing. Finishes tangy and lightly sour. On tap at DC Beer Festival.

12 oz can. Pours clear orangish color with off white head. Aromas of citrus and caramel malts. Flavors of grapefruit and tangerine with some sweet caramel malts. Medium body with average carbonation.
