500ml bottle from a central Irma store in Copenhagen. Pours a hazy range-brown body. Fawn-coloured head reduced to a filmy layer. Aroma of dark bread and anise. Malt-fruity flavours added by honey sweetness and spices, kind of Christmas jam. Offset by orange shells towards the ending. Smooth on the swallow. Satisfying Yuletide beer (hotel room 13.11.2015).

Medium beige head. Hazy deep dark red body with carbonation. Earthy fruity vinegary aroma with wooden spicy notes. Sweet fruity earthy funky taste with floral herbal buttery notes. Mid-to-full-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish earthy funky barnyard aftertaste with sugary wooden spicy notes. Weird. It’s like they accidentally hit upon a very good infection for a far-too-sweet tripel. This is not even remotely a tripel, and very unlikely to be what they intended to brew, but it’s actually a pretty good beer. (0.5l bottle, from somewhere in Copenhagen.)
