Draught @ Hops & Barley, Wuhlischstrasse 22-23, Friedrichshain, Berlin, Germany 10245. [ As Hops & Barley Friedrichshainer Bernstein ].ABV: 5.0%. Unclear medium amber orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, caramel, light hoppy, flowers, fruity hops. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, pale malt, caramel, cereal, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. Draught at Brewpub. Reddish brown with a medium head. Aroma of sweet dark fruit. Flavour is fruity, warming malt, chewy dark caramel, sugary warm fruit finish.

Draught in the Brewpub. Not sure what this is supposed to be so I have classified it as a Kolsch. Cloudy yellow with a solid head. Aroma of citrus and bread malt. Flavour is lemon cake, dusty melon, dry light bitter finish.

From tap. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is mild fruity. Slight citrusy. Crisp fruity. Crisp, bitter, sourish and smooth fruity. Dry and estery finish.

From tap. Pours hazy orange with a small and creamy dense head. Aroma is orange fruity to floral. Dry and slight herbal. Sweet, toasted and dry caramelish. Toasted malty finish.

Gezapft beim Handgemacht Event in der Kulturbrauerei. Klar, schöner Schaum, mittleres Bernstein. Aroma Fruchtig, Mango. Im Geschmack dazu sehr bitter, scharf, etwas Lavendel.

(Draught at Hops & Barley, Berlin 26 Aug 2016) Golden amber colour with frothy, white head. Malty, hoppy nose with citrus, grapefruit, lemon and grass. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of citrus, grapefruit, bread, a touch of tea and a balanced citric bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty, with a fresh citric hop character. Quite nice.

(Draught at Hops & Barley, Berlin 26 Aug 2016. 5.5%) Amber colour with brief, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of toast, orange peel and a touch of grapefruit. Malty, fruity taste with toast, orange peel, toffee, caramel, apricots and a balanced spicy, citric bitterness. Medium body, with a certain caramel sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Quite nice.

Draught @ the brewpub. Starts out malty and floural, then turns hoppy with notes of grapefruit and orange cest. Prrfect balance.
