(Draft at Manifest Taproom, Berlin, 17 July 2025) Pale amber colour with foamy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with citrus, orange peel and black-currant. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of citrus, grapefruit, orange peel, pine needles, bread and a generous citric/piney bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Well balanced IPA. Nice one.

(Draft at Manifest Taproom, Berlin, 17 July 2025) Golden amber colour, slightly hazy, with frothy off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with floral hops, apricots and crisp-bread. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of crisp-bread, apricots, mandarin, resin and a generous citric/resiny, slightly metallic, bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Refreshing and quite hoppy. Nice one.

(Draft at Biererei, Berlin, 15 July 2025) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of bread, head and citrus. Malty taste with bread, grain, grass, hay and a mild herbal/grassy bitterness. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Fresh and well balanced. Quite nice.

Das IPA von Hops & Barley, vom Faß vor Ort in F'hain, 12.8.2025. - "IPA" und "Pale Ale" sind bei dieser Brauerei Sammelbegriffe, unter denen "regelmäßig wechselnde Kombinationen" verschiedener Hopfen- wie Malzsorten angeboten werden, die nur manchmal eine bestimmte Hopfensorte im Namen tragen, aber immer hopfengestopft sind. "Lasst euch vor Ort überraschen", sagt die Website. Das tu ich doch gerne! - Rotgold, fast klar. - In der Nase etwas reichere aber (für diese Biersorte) noch maßvolle zitrusfruchtige Hopfung, Anklänge an Honig. - Antrunk sauber und dicht malzig mit leiser Karamelnote, nur dezenter Süße und gediegener, leicht tropenfruchtiger Hopfung mit Pampelmuse. Milder rezent, vollmundig. Im Abgang kräftige pampelmusige und herbale Hopfenherbe. - Solides, reich aber maßvoll gehopftes IPA ohne die unsaubere hefige Fruchtigkeit und knallige Bittere so mancher Craftbiere.

"Summer Ale", vom Faß im schauerlichen Friedrichshain. - Sattes Goldgelb, fast klar. - In der Nase schwache, leise exotische zitrusfruchtige Hopfung. - Antrunk schlank und sauber hellmalzig und angenehm wenngleich mild zitrusfruchtig hopfenherb, ein wenig exotisch. - Milder rezent, erfrischend schlank. Im Abgang blasse trockene Pampelmusenherbe. - Erfrischend schlankes, angenehm trockenes und vergleichsweise gedämpft gehopftes Ale.

From tap. Pours clear snd golden orange with a white head. Aroma is floral. Mild perfumed. Dry, light herbal. Bitter. Floral and herbal far finish. Medium dry, light estery far finish.
