Draught. Cloudy Amber with a medium head, good lacing. Aroma is chalky hop. Flavour is peach and apricot, sweet fruity bitter, pepper on the lips with a long bitter fruit finish, dry palate.

(Draught at Hops & Barley, Berllin, 26 July 2014) Hazy pale yellow colour with brief head. Fruity nose with notes of apple sauce, grass, a touch of citrus and a slight wheat aroma. Fruity, fresh taste with green apples, citrus, hints of pears and a touch of sweetness coming through in the finish. Medium body, mainly dry. Well balanced and refreshing. Quite nice.

Malty, fruity taste with notes of caramel, apricots, orange peel, grapefruit and a generous citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Well balanced and tasty, with a generous hop presence. Nice one.

Auch wenn man sich betont modern und cool gibt, so hat man als Hausbier doch ein Pils im Angebot. Dieses ist fein gehopft und angenehm spritzig, es fehlt ihm aber irgendwie das Alleinstellungsmerkmal. So ist zwar weit vor den Industriebieren, aber mit Craftbier-Konkurenz tut es sich schwer. EIn Bier das aber sicher von der Atmosphäre des Lokals lebt.

Ein Bier einer Berliner In-Bar, für die ich aber wohl etwas zu uncool war, da ich mit Lederhose dort war, die ich sonst nie trage...Das Bier ist ein schönes Amber Ale, das recht nette Frucharomen hatte, aber dann doch nicht vollends überzeugen kommte. Angeblich gibt es dieses BIer nicht mehr, was ich schade finde, da man nette Ansätze hatte.

30cl on tap at Hops & Barley, Friedrichshain. Clear deep golden to amber with a moderate off-white head, Mild malty aroma with notes of herbs, hops, fruits and hint of caramel and spices. Moderate to medium sweet with a quite bitter finish. Bitter aftertaste with hints of citrus. (2014-08-01)

Vom Faß bei Hops & Barley, Berlin. - Ein naturtrübes, d.h. unfiltriertes Pilsener. - Schön braungelb, trüb. - In der Nase würziger Hopfen. - Antrunk intensiv hopfenwürzig mit Noten von Pfeffer, Tabak, etwas Zitrusfrucht. Aber auch viel Hefe, wenig Malzaromen. Brausig rezent, vollmundig. - Kräftig hopfenwürziger aber wenig differenzierter Abgang; längerer, etwas dumpf bitterer Nachtrunk. - Kräftig gehopftes aber wenig subtiles Pilsener. Vielleicht noch etwas grün. Auf der Karte war von Tettnanger Aromahopfen die Rede, aber das hier schmeckte eher nach Elbe-Saale. In Friedrichshain gibt es aromatischere Pilsener ...

Draught at Bierkultur 2014. Deep black with a caramel head. Aroma is roasted malt. Flavour is toasted malt, dry roast and a little smokey. Dry bitter finish. Really liked this one, his best beer in a while.
